  I have been to a fair share of funerals in my day and Halvey's has been, by far, the most unprofessional and honestly DISGUSTING experience I have had.
  
  Everyone knows that when the a mother and father die in tandem, the family goes somewhat mad. It's adjustment, changing, figuring out how to proceed without them etc...
  
  Rather than remain calm and professional throughout the ceremony, the staff decided to become overly involved with the family members - which might be a good thing, except that they were enamored with those who were "paying the bill" and quite frankly, abusive with the others. Direct family was excluded from funeral details, from the pre-gathering of family members before the wake, to the reserved pews at the front of the church. I honestly don't kow how to describe it besides hurt. Majorly, irreparably, hurt.
  
  The important question that lies here isn't about the drama. Every family goes through it and every family thinks their side is "right", but when you are paying a local funeral home to take care of this horrible grieving process for you - and they elect to become a part of the family drama... It is uncalled for, disgusting, and unacceptable. I do not recommend doing business with these people to ANYBODY. STAY AWAY.

  Our experience with Halvey was the best one could expect under the circumstances. They were professional and caring and made the entire process smooth and relaxed. We would highly recommend using their services.

  I recently attended the Funeral Mass for John Ballo at St. Joachim's, beautifully done by you. I formerly lived in Beacon many years and knew John for years, keeping in touch with friends in Beacon still. (now in Poughkeepsie for 20 yrs).
